Day 1, Sat. BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
Day 2, Sun. ARRIVE CAIRO, EGYPT.
Welcome to exciting Cairo! You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3, Mon. CAIRO.
This morning, meet your Egyptologist in the hotel lobby. First you will visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities.
View the treasures of Egyptian antiquity – an awe-inspiring array and a must for every visitor. After lunch,
visit the Manial Palace Museum, once a royal residence, and the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where shopping is excellent
and bargaining is an experience. (B,L)
Day 4, Tue. CAIRO / ASWAN / CRUISE.
This morning, board a flight to Aswan, for centuries a trade center and gateway to the south. You will be
transferred to board your Nile cruise ship before lunch. Weather permitting, enjoy a felucca sailboat ride to
Kitchener’s Island, home to exotic plants, trees, and abundant birdlife, with a view of the eye-catching pink
granite Aga Khan Mausoleum. This evening, enjoy dinner and a traditional Nubian folklore show.

Day 5, Wed. CRUISING: ASWAN / KOM OMBO / EDFU.
First, tour the awesome Aswan dams and next an ancient granite quarry complete with an unfinished obelisk. Travel
by motor launch to the Island Temples of Philae. Re-board your Nile cruiser and sail to Kom Ombo to visit its twin
temples of Sobek and Horus. Sail to Edfu. This evening, you are a guest at the Captain’s welcome cocktail
reception. Overnight in Edfu. (B,L,D)
Day 6, Thu. CRUISING: EDFU / ESNA / LUXOR.
Visit the Temple of Horus, considered to be the apex of Egyptian architecture. Sail to Esna. After lunch, visit
Esna Temple. Then, sail to Luxor, which the ancient Egyptians called Thebes. This is one of the most important
sites in all Egypt. Enjoy a special “Egyptian Dress Evening” onboard your Nile cruiser.

Day 7, Fri. CRUISING: LUXOR.
Cross the Nile by coach to the West Bank and tour the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut at El-Dier El-Bahri and the colossi of Memmon facing the Nile. After lunch on board, visit the East Bank
which includes the Temple of Luxor and the temple complex of Amon Ra at Karnak with the Hypostyle Hall, the largest
hall of any temple in the world. After dinner, enjoy a Belly Dance show. (B,L,D)
Day 8, Sat. DISEMBARK CRUISE: LUXOR / CAIRO.
Today disembark the cruise and return by air to Cairo. On arrival, you are transferred to your hotel. The balance
of the day is on your own. (B)
Day 9, Sun. CAIRO.
This morning, your sightseeing begins with a visit to the Sphinx and Pyramids and the nearby Solar Boat Museum
which contains Cheops’ 142-foot-long funerary boat. The latter is one of the greatest archaeological discoveries
of the second half of the 20th century. After lunch at the Sakkara Country Club, proceed to the ruins of Memphis,
capital of the Old Kingdom, renowned for the Alabaster Sphinx built in the 18th Dynasty and the beautifully carved
statue of Ramses II. Continue on to nearby Sakkara, which includes the ancient Step Pyramid of Zoser I, built in
2686 B.C. (B,L)
Day 10, Mon. CAIRO / ALEXANDRIA.
Drive to Alexandria, the city founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C. On the way, stop at the Wadi Natrun Coptic
Monasteries of “Al Syrian” and “Amba Bichoi.” Visit the Royal Jewelry Museum, formerly the royal palace,
which houses the famous Princess Shevikar Crown made with over 2,000 diamonds. Next, visit the Montazah Palace
Gardens which gives you an outside view of King Farouk’s palace. Evening at leisure. (B)
Day 11, Tue. ALEXANDRIA / CAIRO.
This morning, visit the Greco Roman Museum, Catacombs of Kom El Shugafa, Pompey’s Pillar, and the Roman
Amphitheater. Later, return to Cairo. (B)
Day 12, Wed. DEPART CAIRO.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
As traffic conditions and the water level of the Nile are not always predictable, slight changes to the day-by-day
itinerary may occur.
Days 1-11, Sat.-Tue. Like Egyptian Adventure.
Day 12, Wed. CAIRO / SHARM EL SHEIKH.
This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your quick flight to the Sinai Peninsula’s resort town
of Sharm El Sheikh, then on to your resort hotel (Marriott). Settle in and head for the beach. The crystalline Red
Sea waters, busy with brightly colored tropical fish are yours to enjoy. Some of the world’s best snorkeling and
diving spots are found here, as well as a variety of other water sports. (B)
Days 13 & 14, Thu. & Fri. SHARM EL SHEIKH.
Two days to enjoy all that Sharm el Sheikh has to offer. There are plenty of options for you to choose from. In
addition to spectacular water sports, you may want to try horse or camel riding, golf and more. (B daily)
Day 15, Sat. SHARM EL SHEIKH / CAIRO.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is free.
