Itinerary:

Day 1 DEPART USA.
Your journey begins as you board your overnight transatlantic flight bound for Cape Town, South Africa.

Day 2 ARRIVE CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA.
Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the ‘Mother City’ on your own.

Day 3 CAPE OF GOOD HOPE EXCURSION.
Depart on a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula, driving the Atlantic seaboard via Hout Bay, where you may opt to visit Seal Island. Visit Cape Point Nature Reserve and then stop to see the lovable penguins at Boulders Beach. Drive back to Cape Town through the historic naval village of Simon’s Town. (B)

Day 4 WINE COUNTRY EXCURSION.
Enjoy a drive through some of the most picturesque Wine Country in the area. Visit some of the vineyards, tour a wine cellar and, of course, sample the renowned South African wines. Finally explore the quaint towns of Stellenbosch and Franschoek with their “Cape Dutch” architecture. (B)

Day 5 CAPE TOWN / JOHANNESBURG.
Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Day 6 JOHANNESBURG / MPUMALANGA / KRUGER NATIONAL PARK.
After an early breakfast, start your journey through Mpumalanga to Kruger National Park. Mpumalanga is an area of unparalleled scenery and wildlife. Keep your camera handy as you travel into Kruger. It is not only home to the “Big Five” – lion, rhino, elephant, leopard, and buffalo – but also cheetah, giraffe, hippo and many more. (B,D)

Day 7 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK.
Enjoy a full day of game viewing in this internationally famous park where the array of animals share the land with hundreds of species of birds. You’ll also have another chance to see elephant, lion, rhino and buffalo. Even the elusive leopard sometimes roams into open land. It is an experience not to be missed! (B,D)

Note: The animals are most active early in the morning and late in the afternoon. You may wish to match the rhythm of the day to that of the animals!

Day 8 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK.
Your day is spent touring the Kruger. Up early on an open vehicle dawn safari, noon siesta, and afternoon game drive. (B,D)

Day 9 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK / JOHANNESBURG.
An early morning game drive before breakfast, then continue with your game drive until almost lunchtime. Depart the Park and travel back to Johannesburg, arriving at the airport at approximately 7:00 p.m. Check in for your homebound flight. (B)

Day 10 ARRIVE USA.
You arrive home.

Overnight in Johannesburg.

Day 10 JOHANNESBURG / VICTORIA FALLS, ZAMBIA.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. After settling into your hotel in Zambia, enjoy a cruise on the Zambezi River aboard the African Queen. Note: We can also reserve accommodation for you on the Zimbabwe side. (B)

Day 11 VICTORIA FALLS.
Start your day with a tour of Victoria Falls. Then visit the village of Mkuni, where you will experience local African life, and the Livingstone Museum. There is time to shop for spices and crafts at the Maramba market. (B)

Day 12 VICTORIA FALLS / JOHANNESBURG.
Morning is at leisure. Why not take the optional “Flight of the Angels” for a bird’s eye view of the Falls. Transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Johannesburg and your onward international flight home. (B)

Day 13 ARRIVE USA.
You arrive home today.
