Day 1, Fri. BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
Day 2, Sat. ARRIVE CAIRO, EGYPT.
You are met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3, Sun. CAIRO.
This morning, meet your Egyptologist in the hotel lobby. First visit the Sphinx and Pyramids and the Solar Boat
Museum containing Cheops’ funerary boat. After lunch, proceed to the ruins of Memphis, renowned for the Alabaster
Sphinx built in the 18th Dynasty and the carved statue of Ramses II. Continue to nearby Sakkara, which includes the
Step Pyramid of Zoser I, built in 2686 B.C. (B,L)
Day 4, Mon. CAIRO.
This morning, visit the Egyptian Museum to view the treasures of Egyptian antiquity. Enjoy lunch at a local
restaurant. Next proceed to the Sultan Hassan Mosque and the Citadel Mohammed Ali Mosque.

Day 5, Tue. CAIRO / ABU SIMBEL / ASWAN / CRUISE.
Fly to Abu Simbel to visit the Ramses II and Queen Nefertari Temples. Return by shuttle bus to Abu Simbel airport
and fly to Aswan. Board your ship before lunch. Weather permitting, enjoy a felucca ride to Kitchener’s Island,
with a view of the Aga Khan Mausoleum. This evening, dinner and a traditional Nubian folklore show.

Day 6, Wed. CRUISE: ASWAN / KOM OMBO / EDFU.
Tour the Aswan dams and an ancient granite quarry with an unfinished obelisk. Travel by motor launch to the island
Temples of Philae. Re-board your cruiser and sail to Kom Ombo to visit its twin temples of Sobek and Horus. Sail to
Edfu. Tonight, you are a guest at the Captain’s cocktail reception. (B,L,D)
Day 7, Thu. CRUISE: EDFU / ESNA / LUXOR.
Visit the Temple of Horus, the apex of Egyptian architecture. Sail to Esna to visit Esna Temple. Sail to Luxor, one
of the most dramatic sites in all of Egypt. Enjoy a special “Egyptian Dress Evening” onboard your Nile cruise

Day 8, Fri. CRUISE: LUXOR.
Cross the Nile by coach to the West Bank and tour the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen
Hatshepsut at El-Dier El-Bahri and the Colossi of Memmon. After lunch, visit the East Bank which includes the
Temple of Luxor and the temple complex of Amon Ra at Karnak with the Hypostyle Hall, the largest hall of any temple
in the world. After dinner, enjoy a show featuring Belly Dancers. (B,L,D)
Day 9, Sat. DISEMBARK CRUISE: LUXOR / CAIRO.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo, then to your hotel. Balance of day free. (B)
Day 10, Sun. DEPART CAIRO.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your homebound flight. (B)
